Tag, I'm It!

I first read about this game on my friend Tim McGuire's blog, Primate Brow Flash, and though it was a very interesting idea on several fronts.

First, I think it is interesting to see just how good some writers are. Pick any point in Fifth Business and I am sure the passage would blow me away.

Second, I think it is interesting to see what other people are reading. Gives me ideas.

Here is how this game works: Pick up your nearest book and go to page 123. Find the fifth sentence, and post on your blog the next three sentences. Acknowledge who tagged you, and then tag five more people.

I am reading The Hobbit to my boys. My dad read the Hobbit out loud to my brother and I when we were 8 and 10 and I still remember being transported to Middle Earth. I loved Bilbo and Gandalf and magic. Anthony is 10, Nate is 8, and Michael is 6. I can not wait any longer.

"So they all went to breakfast with him. Beorn was most jolly for a change; indeed he seemed to be in a splendidly good humour and set them all laughing with his funny stories; nor did they have to wonder long where he had been or why he was so nice to them, for he told them himself. He had been over the river and right back up into the mountains - from which you can guess that he could travel quickly, in bear's shape at any rate."
I was tagged by Matt whom I met at college. He teachs chemistry at a University in Denmark but I am most impressed that he travels more miles by bike that by car. What a man!
