Outliers
by Malcolm Gladwell
The premise of Outliers is that success is tied to opportunity and practice. What we call talent is a result of opportunity and practice. Gladwell states that 10,000 hours of practice is needed for someone to become a master of a craft.
As with his previous books, Outliers pulls the reader in with a radically new way to look at what is seemingly obvious and turns it inside out. Talent is not a gift from god but something that is developed with practice.
Hey, that gives even me a chance!
